ATI 4850 Diamond cooler replacement
So the current cooler is a single slot...800mhz+single slot
There is obviously a problem So what are my options on coolers? price vs performance comments and stats are nice... My budget is anything...within reason here...i don't want to spend a lot and cheap is GREAT...i do have to afford a new hdd/hdd's...see sig rig

Since you have a good airflow case, you can go with the ARCTIC COOLING ACCELS1 Rev 2 VGA Cooler for $25
 If you want really good performance, then get the Scythe USA SCVMS-1000 Sleeve VGA Cooler for $40  If you want the best, then go with the Thermalright T-Rad2 Video Card Heatsink for just over $50  Hopes this helps you out!

DuOrb works great on the 4850. The TRad2 is WAY overkill BUT will transfer to your next card assuming it has the same mounting as a previous model. It will, by far, be enough. But the DuOrb I had on my 4850 worked very well, keeping my temps under 45C.

Scythe Musashi or AC accelero twin turbo would be my suggestion.
Musashi = 2 slots Twin Turbo = 2.5-3slots S1 + fans = 3 slots
