Default Extra stockfan modded on HD4870 while Accelero S1 installed doesnt make it cooler.

I installed the Accelero S1 rev2 on my HD4870, and now i had the stock cooler extra lying there.
So i de-installed just the fan of that, and made it custom with some wire, and plugged it to the card as the accelero is plugged to the MB.
SO i pointed the fan towards the accelero for hopefull extra cooling, but when i checked the temps they were about 15degrees higher than before ?

So i assume that the card also warms up more due to the amps drawn on the card for that fan ???

I took it out again and temps were much better, still strange ?

Default

switch the stock to the MB power and the accelero to the GPU, the mobo changes speeds to the CPU, not the GPU.

Default

i controle the fans automatic/(manually set), the plug of the GPU stock fan only fits on the GPU card, and the Accelero doestn fit in the GPUsocket so,

i guess there will be adapter cables, but this works fine

but still strange the temps were goin so high with the original stock cooler in its proper place ?
