So in installed mine earlier and i realize i was supposed to put the heatsinks on the ram so i know that is why the ram is hot.
My idle temps are 42 and my load steadily climbs to 70 and i stopped the load. Also i can hear no difference in the fan speed when i turn it up. Is this all normal?

the temp 42~70 is this core or mem? if its memory I think its about right and its safe. I would say memory keeping it below 80 is very good.
Mine maxes out 60~62 core 65~72 depending on ambient temp

The mushashi will keep that chip under 70C or so at 1000 core I think. Also, make sure you use GOOD thermal compound like MX-2 or something. The stock crap sucks ass!

I did buy some good Thermal paste for it. The 42-70 is my Core temp.

Oh... You need to check the RAM temps. Use GPUz or whatever. I wouldn't game with that just now...

Put the heat sinks back on the ram. Core still gets up to about 70 mabey more. and shader is usealy about 9-10* more than the core. Its still alot cooler especially at idle and holy crap quiet.
Havent tried my overclocks yet or games.

Ok played with it more. With an overclock of 1000/1070 i got up to 80* and even at stock it probaly would have made it there it was at about 76-77.
My stock cooler would not get this hot with enough fan speed. The Idle temps are good but im not impressed with the load temps. Am i doing something wrong or is this just normal?

are you sure the fans are running at max speed? run with your side of the case off and listen to see if it gets louder
with max fan speed you shot not be seeing temperatures higher than 60c on the core

Yes they are at max. I cannot hear a difference but at idle if i lower the fan speed the temp does go up.
