Check with Rivatuner or GPU-Z

And what % fan speed are you running at

The new fan design is suppose to allow you to run @ higher fan speed with less noise (Non Turbine fan like original 2slot cooler),
only problem is it sprays the heat everywhere ;P
This fan at 100% is louder than my 8800GTS 320 2 Slot

Thats rather unfortunate for you...why didn't you opt for a two slot version when you bought it?

My two slot version is great...

You should have seen the xoxide sale...they had gpu coolers galore and that would have got you going at a great price...

What cooler do you have in mind?

Make sure to hit up google for the cooler reviews...

Honestly I didnt even know this version of the cooler existed until I opened the box...
I was thinking on the lines of a DuOrb?

Should be just in time for getting your RMA back after a memory chip blows or something

The Duorb isn't too bad but you can do better by getting a larger cooler and just strapping a fan to it...

Hit up some reviews...you will probably need to look out for forum reviews from users who are looking to eek out the maximum performance...

Xoxide had the Duorb for 20$ shipped...i wish i would have gotten one but i had already bought an Accelero S1 Rev. 2 for my 4850...

I'd replace that cooler with this.....
http://www.scythe-usa.com/product/vg...00_detail.html

This is what it looks like installed in my CM-690
http://www.overclock.net/gallery/sho...4/ppuser/95148
SATA clearance was a little tight
http://www.overclock.net/gallery/sho...6/ppuser/95148

And don't use the tape that is on the heat sinks that come with the cooler... I would use thermal adhesive instead.

I have one of these coolers on one of my 9800GT and it brought idle temps from 70c to 40c. Thats a 30 deg difference from the stock PNY cooler that came on it.

Great cooler!

Clearly this new design is hotter... Why XFX why???
What would you recommend the best GPU cooler for this card?
If it fits you could get a Twin Turbo. Doesnt exhaust but will keep things really really cool and quiet.
