I HIGHLY suggest you return it. You're going to kill the card because you can't even see how hot the VRMs are getting.

XFX cheaped out on my card too, and I wish I had returned it, but they went another step (too far) with this model.

Its going to die, and they will probably just send you another POS.

Ok so I ran COD4 last night for about an hour on 800/1000, it hit over 117C and my PC powered off. I contacted my supplier today and he's going to see what he can do about a swap-out for the other model, but if they cant, I will be ordering a new cooler today.

In the post i've seen some recommendations for some coolers for this card, so I'll either be going for the DuOrb, Accelero Twin Turbo, or a T-Rad2.
Which would be the best choice?

I'll decide on what i'm going to do after I get feedback from my supplier.
Until then, are these temps a risk of resulting in a dead card anytime soon?

You can buy that card on Newegg, but that cooler looks like it is bad. A review on Newegg said he removed the stock plastic shroud and fan and replaced it with two 120mm fans tied with twist-ties. The temps were about 65C under load. I do not know how reliable that information is though.

If you can strap some fans to it that would help quite a bit...i don't think that will kill the card within the weekend but its definitely not safe and should be "fixed" very soon...
