I need a good fan for an HR-03 GT. Something that will still move a lot of air through the fins, but I don't really want to sacrifice quiet. I hear the Gentle Typhoons are good, how about the R4's? Any other recommendations?

I've got a 120mm sharkoon silent eagle 2000 on my ultra 120 extreme cpu cooler, that's 74cfm 2000rpm and cools it brilliantly and is very quiet. That would also work very well on the HR-03-GT. I'm receiving my HR-03-GT on friday. This time I will be putting an ac ryan 77.70cfm 2000rpm 120mm fan on it. It's similar spec as the sharkoon, except it's UV and LED. Depends if you want 92mm fan or 120mm.

You can fit a 120mm on the HR-03-GT? I thought it was just 92mm.

With zip ties. I already ordered a water cooling system though. Most of the parts are already in.

My 120mm fans both tested on my HR-03-GT.

Thanks.
__________________ They're the thermalright ultra 120 clips. I ordered a pair. I found it trickier to figure out how to fit these clips and to actually stop them coming out of the cooler when trying to get the fan under them on the HR-03-GT than I did on the TRUE because of the different shape of the cooler. Check FAQ4 down the bottom of this page: http://www.thermalright.com/new_a_pa...ler_hr03gt.htm

Don't overkill it. Go for quiet (120mm) with zip ties. That thing cools REALLY well, I even ran my old 8800 Ultra on it WITHOUT a fan (non-overclocked) and it didn't overheat. Not great temps, but not dangerous. I did put a fan on after testing that.

Guys, I ordered a water cooling system instead of the HR-03. In fact, the HR-03 was going to be on a different card. I actually ordered a 4850x2 and a watercooling system. lol
