I have been poking around, I figured I would ask.
This is going to be my 1st aftermarket, AIR COOLER. I want it from the egg. I'm not looking to spend alot of cash here, but I want to push my XFX past 700. Right now, I am clocked at 680 & 995. If I push it anymore then that, she crashes under load. This is with the stock cooling. SO. I was wondering if all you cooler GURU's out there, could provide me with some decent air coolers, and a decent fan if I need one. Lets say I want to spend around $60. That would be great, but up to $100. Thanks guys.

Hi there. I recently bought aftermarket cooler for my xfx hd4850 1g so I can overclock it past 700 barrier and achieve good temperatures...so I bought Accelero s1 rev2 and its awesome! My temps never go over 45C on full load. (of course if you have fans - I bought 2 92mm fans for that cooler) its fantastic! it paid $30 for accelero and $14 for 2 antec fans that had 3 speed regulators! so you can decide what temps you would like...but to be honest I just had them on medium speed.

Second vote for the AC Accelero S1 Rev 2. My 4850's idle temps are right about 40C and it's dead silent. SOoo much nicer than the stock cooler

MY 4850 idled at 35 and load at 50C with my duorb. And that was overclocked as much as it would go (650, I believe). I have heard great things about the Accelero as well.
