Any1 no of a good replacement for it (the fan)? I wont be overclocking it much just want to be able to sleep with pc on folding. Untill I get a replacment can I just remove it or will that seriously overheat it?

Look at the Zalman coolers for a good aftermarket GPU cooler.
As for stopping the fan i would seroiusly consider not doing it. Gfx cards like that one run hot as it is on stock cooling you dont want to fry it

The artic silencers are cheaper but imo the zalmans cool better and are quieter.
