On my old x800pro made by HIS the cooler was awesome. I just got an x850xt from sapphire but wow is this thing ever loud. I can't run the fan higher than 35% or I just get too annoyed. My oc right now (with 35% FAN) is 580/600. I may get some aftermarket cooling just so I can game in peace.

Running 545/543 with load temps of 78 on ze stock c0oler
Even asking my grandfather if he can get a new one for it, or i can get one for it then he pay me for that. It's not completely mine, yet

MEM: 560Mhz (iv read that the mem has issues alot.. im the unlucky one)

MAX

Idle: 35C
Load: 60C

but since its summer now, im at 501 core and 490 mem. Load temps of 64C and idles at 40C :[
and the performance decrease wasnt TOO noticable lol but when I OC its very

I have put a Artic Cooling Ati5rev2 silencer on now. New Temps..used AS5 on gpu and pads on mem.
570/591 - idle 40c - load 57c
520/540 - idle 40c - load 55c
By far the best part is the silence...I couldn't believe how quiet this thing is at load.
not a huge differance...but my enviroment temps dropped big time...before they were about the same now at load they are around 45c
BTW ambient case temps are 26-31c

hey, ive got a power colour x850XT @ 540/590. I was wanting to overclock it some more, and are currently in the process of buying a VF900cu. I'm using ATI tool atm, and i'm just wondering do i have to increase the voltage or fan speed, if i wanna clock it futher with this new cooler? I'm just new to all of this.

Heck with the fan set to 100% the card will only see 44/38* C in a room that is 75 degrees with almost no humidity.

Hi! I'll start like others - ATT Benchmark Results: Stable at 574/597 - 75C Stock cooler.
But i wan't to buy an Arctic Cooling VGA Silencer 5 ATI rev. 2.
And now da question: I have Sapphire X850XT card, here is the photo =>

I have the same one.
And on this web page http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/A...Silencer5_Rev2 is written that "The cooler does not fit some Sapphire X800 cards where two capacitors block the cooler installation."
Can i put this cooler on my card? Will it fit?

X850XT: 550/600, under 65C load. Core hits a wall, I'll vmod once I get a W/C setup.

Oh yeah, update: I'm running 550/590 now after disabling PEG Link I guess either my PSU or my cooler sucks.

What capacitors block it? Those on the right side or on top? Or down there?
Cos...look... here is the photo from the test lab... i can't see any difference...this card and mine...all the capacitors are on the same place... Does someone have any experience with this card and cooler?
