I've read a post about tuning your bios for better performance. It said changing you Graphics Aperture Size to 128MB will no doubt improve performance..

AGP Aperture allocates that given amount (32, 64, 128, 256, 512) of system ram to be used for video ram.
Since system ram is MUCH slower than the ram on the video card, its best to experiment with apertures that fit your ram/v.card combination. When I was running a non-pro 9600, my best scores were with an aperture of 64, but my x800xt PE runs best with 128 as the aperture. Its a tough number to call without some experimentation by you. running a single benchmark per aperture size will greatly help your decision. I imagine with 512 of system ram, that an aperture of 64 or 128 will be your best performer.

so in noobspeak the higher AGP apature is not always better. and could make things worse if you set it higher than your systom memory?
