I like the omega drivers, they gave me he best 3dmarks score, but the most recent ati drivers are good too.

I use the standard Catalyst 7.8 drivers with no problems.

I've noticed that the omega (and other 3rd party) drivers help more for benchie scores like in 3dmark06 (maybe a few hundred points here and there), but I have noticed that for real gameplay, nothing's really beaten the ATI drivers by a long shot. I have an x1950pro and am using the latest version of catalyst--have had no problems whatsoever. I would say that for the least amount of headache, just go with the latest catalyst drivers. I'm sure others will disagree...

I've read reports of improved performance using the latest release (7.8). I'd go with that.

I'm using the Warcat 7.4 driver and ATI Tray tools for the overclock. I've been able to get a nice, stable overclock with no temperature problems.
