I've been using ATI Tool 0.023 to try and calculate my maximum memory speed.
__________________I start to get artifacts at around 330mhz. Is this the norm for the 9600XT or is it possible to get higher? The card usually runs at 324mhz using the ATI Overdrive Utility so for safety reasons I've stuck to that (324 mhz using ATI Tool from startup) The core goes all the way to 620mhz before artifacts appear and runs well at 600mhz ( 53C max during 3DMark03 ) I'm using a Vantec Iceberq4 on the GPU with the supplied Ram sinks on the memory. Running the fan at 4700 keeps the temperature the same as the stock fan - athough QUIETER. Can Anyone help with the memory. I've seen postings with higher memory speeds for the 9600XT on the Futuremark site. Thanks in advance.

Actually, I've run ATI Tool again and started getting Artifacts at 600mhz core speed, probably getting abit hot. dropped it to 595mhz and it's been ok for a while. What is the safest max temperature?

I've been getting worried when it gets up to 58 During the fuzzy ball and Scan thing. Guess I could turn the fan down abit more then.

Those temps are alot higher than I thought they could go.
__________________I've been running the fan at +4900rpm to keep the temps below 59 thinking that 70 was the max. I've now lowered the fan to 4200 and the temps have gone up just a couple of degrees, but it's a bit quieter. Although it wasn't that noisy before every little reduction in speed/noise helps. Ran 3DMark03 and the temps hit up to 57. - Hows that sound.
