Overclocker
|
k i downloaded the rivatuner program, and i read a post where a guy overclocked his memory to 1295. the riva program goes to 800, so i tried it and it crashed. how exactly do i get my card to go higher than 650(mem) which is its most stable speed?
thanks glin |

just increase it in small increments until you find your max frequency that doesnt have any artifacts. most likely youre not going to be able to 1295 or even 800

I think the post you saw for 1295 mem speed is: 1. upgraded cooling (such as Silencer, or additional fans) 2. Keep in mind that a posted mem speed of 1295 is DDR speed. 1295/2 = 647.5 MHz (the speed you see in ATI tool or Riva) Your "most stable speed" of 650MHz equates to 1300 MHz. 1.3GHz is not an easy thing to do on a video card ![]()
