Default x850 xt overclock questions.

k i downloaded the rivatuner program, and i read a post where a guy overclocked his memory to 1295. the riva program goes to 800, so i tried it and it crashed. how exactly do i get my card to go higher than 650(mem) which is its most stable speed?

thanks

just increase it in small increments until you find your max frequency that doesnt have any artifacts. most likely youre not going to be able to 1295 or even 800

Welcome to the forum!

I think the post you saw for 1295 mem speed is:

1. upgraded cooling (such as Silencer, or additional fans)
2. Keep in mind that a posted mem speed of 1295 is DDR speed. 1295/2 = 647.5 MHz (the speed you see in ATI tool or Riva)

Your "most stable speed" of 650MHz equates to 1300 MHz.

1.3GHz is not an easy thing to do on a video card
