Angry The 5.6 Catalysts

I upgraded my X600's drivers today to see if they would boost my performance. Installing was simple and the PC rebooted fine. I went downstairs to get a drink, then I heard a long beep. So I go back upstairs to see what it was and the PC was making a huge racket. It was a long beep which related to graphics error, I immediately shut the PC off at the wall then turned the power back on, the PC immediately booted up and started scanning the hard drive.

Its working now, im going to run a few benches, but that was scarry lol.
Just thought I would tell everyone a story of mine today.

Computers are more complex than the average enthusiast believes. Take heed, and be wary, with what you do when overclocking.

Yeah thanks for the heads up too. I have similar problems with upgrading in older versions as well. I am downloading my copy of 5.6 right now, and I will be sure to do some shouting if I get a better score in 3Dmark 05.

EDIT/UPDATE: Ok I got them and they installed fine, but, no real performance improvement. I gained about 100 points in 3Dmark 05, big whoop.
