You can just get the Omega drivers, which include Catalyst and give you full capability to overclock.

No. I wouldnt use them, they shouldnt waste there time on it. Let us enthusiasts install our own OC program.

shouldnt add them in cuz if noobie who doesnt mean to overclock wrecks his card and RMAs it, we have to pay more when we buy

No, they could give us crap a crap OC program. Few warranties cover Overclocking, and if its inferior and they say "under no circumstances is ATI or any manufacturer responsible for damages due to overclocking a graphics card by any mean" then your screwed if you fry it with crap software..

UHHHH i just installed my catalyst control center for my new x850xt and it has overclocking options and a temperature readout "overdrive" is what they called it.

The thing is though with overdrive, all u do is up the core/mem clocks, and get a temp readout. There's nothing that's actually stressing the card, so once u get it up mega high, u go into a game, and get artifacts, and all sorts of weird polygonal effects. ATi Tool for example, has an attached window with a furry cube spinning, which wil heat up the card and has a test feature to detect any artifacts it's just way better than catalyst's own way.
