Default Problem finding max core with ati tool

I am running a radeon x800 xl agp and when i try to find max core it always gets to about 441 and then my comp reboots. I have the frequency locked at 66 in bios and am running 1.5 volts to the agp slot. Any clues as to why this might be happening?

Lack of power is allways an issue, try amping up the voltage, its risky, but it can make for a higher OC. Also if that dosnt work, well your probably maxed out on your OC. whats the temps of the core at 441?

My temp was 54c with the stock cooler I was just trying to find the max core before my other cooler arrives. It was still upping the core when it rebooted. It never even stabilized. Ill try upping the agp voltage and see if that works for now. Thanks for the reply.

Heh, np, 441 is a big OC, also the temps will increase once you raise the voltage, so make shure you monitor that closely. Going above 62+ is a definate no no. Ya good luck with that new cooler, aftermarket cooling is a good choice, since most companies dont provide a good stock cooler.
