Well I installed ATI catalyst 5.6 drivers with the catalyst program instead of the simple 5.6 controll pannel and the memory usage changed from 230mb to 330mb at startup in task maneger. What I'm asking is the catalyst software with it's AI and w.e better in games then the plane controll pannel, if so is it 100mb of memory worth? Thanks in advance

![]() here is how u flash to a xt go to www.techpowerup.com and find a x600xt bios that has the same ram as ur card (notice the last two digets on one of the rows of characters on ur ram chips may say 28/25 ect.) once u find the bios that has the same ram and says its a x600 xt u will then need to make shure that ur core and ram can run at those speeds after u make shure that it can use a program that they have for download at that site called "flashrom.exe" to flash the bios to do that u will need to make a dos bootup disk and put the bios and flashrom.exe on it once u get it all ready reboot and go into dos and type flashrom.exe -f -p 0 (bios name goes here).(rom/bin which ever kinda file it is) to save u if the flash goes wrong u will need to have a pci vid card handy also before u do this backup the origional bios by dumping it with ati tool and puting it on the floppy aswell btw manufacturer doesnt matter ![]() |
