Default How to Set/Verify 3870X2 overclock

There have been alot of inquiries about this matter as of late.
Very simple process, if your clocks still do not reflect the set clock speeds after this verification method..I don't know what to tell you.
I've shown the Clock tool and RT method of clock speed verification.

I can confirm that this works in XP/Vista 32bit, if it doesn't work, then you have a bad driver install, bad card, or are a total n00b

You will need the AMD gpu clock tool patch, get it here.

Note*Since the release of Cat 8.4, clocking both cores from within CCC is possible.

4 cores, IDK must be an XP thing.

As for the 297mhz, that's low power mode and should kick into 3d mode when gaming.
Watch the graph for the second core while you test the clocks, make sure you apply the settings.

Also monitor the core in question while gaming, should increase to 3d speeds.

Just curious.

I did flash my first card because there were some issues with powerplay dropping to low power 3D clocks while gaming, which absolutely killed FPS.

I didn't on my second card so the two actually had two (or really FOUR!) different bios files.

Last night I flashed everything back to stock, since the powerplay issue has supposedly been resolved in the new drivers.
