If you just want to overclock it to the same speeds then download ATI Tool and use that to overclock it to the same speeds (if your card will get there) as the 9800 Pro.

If you want to actually flash the card i.e. turn it into a 9800 Pro using a new BIOS then I think you can, lets see what our flash expert SPHERE says though

With the omega drivers isn't there an option when installing to flash from SE to NP?
Once you've got those drivers installed you could just use the built in Radlinker and set the BIOS default speeds at the PRO speeds.

I've never run into this situation before, Best bet would be booting in safe mod and installing the drivers again but just normal, no soft-mod option.

The only way to move it up is either to Flash the BIOS, or just overclock and save settings.

well there are 3 options that u may try

post a pic of the card and post what it sas on the mem and that should give me enough info to tell if u can flash it to a pro but there is a resistor on the core that you may need to move (verry delicate)

or you could try useing a hacked driver set like the omegas i beleve there is a pipe hack in those drivers that will let you use the extra pipes

last option use rivia tuner to unlock and overclock the card

but there are no guarantees wint any of those options

that black screen sounds like the res may be to high or the driver is haveig some kind of problem i dont think it has to do with the pipes possibly being bad (try riviatuner to unlock em and use the ati drivers )
