Default Best ATI 4850?

Basically ive always been a nvidia fanboy.. i admit it

and my 8600gt is dieing and im looking at the 4850 price - performance ratio and i like. would 1gb make a differance over the 512mb's?

just wondered if any perticular manufacturer is better and if anybody knows any aftermarket coolers that fit nicely?

Many Thanks,

I voted HIS. But I don't honestly know. But I know the HIS IceQ3 3870's were one of the best out there .

I sure the daul slot coolers will be nice but the current fan is set to max @ 27% max pushing the max to 50% gets it cool without too much noise increase... So I am not sure if you really need to wait!

If warranty is your main criteria go with Russians advice.

I voted Sapphire since mine was only $185 shipped, and the warranty
was voided when my Dremel hit the HS 10min after the card arrived.

I pulled the blue wire so the fan runs @ %100, sounded like a busted
chainsaw for the first hour, fairly quiet now though.

Definatly Visiontek because of the warranty. I do however say that all the other brands pretty much are equal - ATI partners pretty much offer the same thing unless it is a special edition.
