Default Drivers on differnt cards

Ok, so I have an X200m which is equal to a 9700. HP hasn't updated the drivers for this past release. (It's a mobile GPU if you didn't get the m) ATi does not make a product named "X200" so I figure I am going to try to download the current drivers for the 9700 and install those. Do you think it will work, next, does anyone think it might cause damage to my onboard hardware (accelerating it the wrong way, &c)?

Well it is supposed to be built near the same or something like that, see, well, I just want to know if it chances at damaging the laptops video. If so, I will not do following plan.

No it prolly just won't accept the new drivers. You'll have to wait for hp.

Read an article off of ATi's website, but they don't have support for x200 themselves.
