Hi all,

I'm having some issues here,

In the past I had my friend's HD3870 (Sapphire single slot) and my HD2900XT in crossfire on Cat 8.5, so yesterday I got myself an HD3870 (Sapphire dual slot) and I installed Catalyst 8.5 + CCC.

Ok so that all goes well until I get into CCC and theres no CF Option (HD2900XT is main card, HD3870 is secondary), so I change the cards around... no luck.

Then I see that Cat 8.2 apparently always works for crossfire, so I Install that and \/ I get a crossfire option. So I tick the crossfire option and it activates.

I try and run Crysis, BSOD... Ok fine I restart, now I try Race Driver GRI...BSOD, restart then I try 3D Ma...BSOD Damnit!

Anyways, I switch cards around, same thing, install Cat 8.3 and 8.4 Still BSOD's, 8.5 and 8.6 have no crossfire option.

Ok so now I don't know what to do anymore, so I install VISTA :O and guess what? No, wrong, it doesn't have the option in Cat 8.2 Vista.

Is there any way to remedy my problem, I know that both cards work 100% and I know that you can CF HD3xxx and HD2900 series cards and I have done it before.

there is only one way to fix this, burn all of your ati cards and switch to an nvidia card.
you will get better fps, and you wont run into problems like these

don't listen to this fanboy, if i were you I'd sell both those cards and get a 4870 which beats most of Nvidias $600+ cards

its does... 2900+3870 need both bridges and 4870+3780 will work should work a single bridge
