To install IGP 9000/9100 drivers on Windows XP SP2/SP3. You need download and Install the following:
GART Omega ATI 38252 Drivers (6.5) Install GART first. Make sure you go to device manager. Make sure you see "ATI RADEON 9000/9100 IGP AGP" Under "System devices". --- Restart your computer and run ATI IGP Driver Installer. Do "Custom Installation" and uncheck "GART Driver". Now drivers should install perfect. IF you don't do it in this order. ATI IGP Driver Installer will fail when installing Display drivers

Thanks I needed this for my Toshiba A75-S206. Its got a 9100 IGP. I used it on vista thow and it still worked.
It may be an old GPU but it can still handle Unreal 2004 and high settings at a nice res.

Luckily i found this thread via google because i would directly have installed anything in wrong way *lol. Thx for the instructions @unknownm.
Ill get an old Toshiba Tecra S1 notebook somewhen these days and this one has this 9000 IGP graphics, so iam already collecting the best available graphics-driver and stuff for it. One question about the 9000-IGP graphics unit related to direct-x ... Ive read on the 9000 IGP development site of ATI that the 9000 IGP supports direct-x 8.1 ..ok, i have the latest direct-x 9.24 redist and the older direct-x 8.1 redist here ...which one should i install for best performance ? Iam not even sure if i can install the 9x version at all, as the gpu only supports 8.1. ^^ Thanks in advance for any hints. Greetz. |

Hello,
sry for grabbing out the old thread, but i have a medion md41349 laptop with an 9100 IGP graphics now, and i wonder it makes a difference in the installation procedure when there was catalyst 5.6 installed before ? Or does this simply not matter ? Thx 4 info. Also how is it with the 9100 IGP and gaming ? ... ive read that the 9100 IGP does 50-85 frames on older titles like quake 3 arena and unreal tournament 2003 ...how about call of duty 1 ? ..game is from 2002 and based on q3 engine ... will this run playable with the omega driver ? lets say 60 fps > ... any experiences ? Machine is as said a medion md41349 laptop with pentium 4 mobile processor with 3,1 ghz, 1024 mb ram and this 9100 IGP graphics chip. Thx. |
