Is there a reason you are not using CCC to overclock your card?

well update, installed rivatuner & working. Sorry but what is CCC? and no voltage mod on this 4870
![]() Also how do i lock my OC, so the 4870 stops switching between 750/500MHz core clock?

Don't worry about the switching clocks. When your card is only doing 2D things it drops the clock to save power and stay cooler. When you get into a game or 3D application, it ramps up to full.

this is true concerning the changing clocks, but that is why (i have been told and now believe) that all oif my games are crashing (have found temporary fix: folding
it does seem that games stay running while folding but this isnt good for crysis because it slows it down abit.
