Default best ati driver righgt now?

ijust bought my first ati card, xfx 4870, and i need to knw wats the best driver to install. currently dloadin 6.11 catalyst from guru3d.

I've been using the most recent version of Omega's ATI drivers for years now, I've gotten much better performance from those then stock ATI drivers. Give 'em a go if you're up too it, just Google "Omgea ATI Drivers". I think there's also a dedicated section for them on guru3d as well, I'm not 100% sure.

System: Well... it's certainly clocked... and bright.

Haven't those stop being updated?

@ the OP: Get the XG Catalyst 8.12's. Best drivers out ATM.

Slappa, I'm not 100% sure if they have or haven't, I'll check when I get home from work. I know I strictly used Omega when ATI messed up one of the Catalyst drivers and had no AGP support.

Yeah I remember using the Omega's back when I had my crappy X1300. Tried to squeeze every last bit out of it.

EDIT: Just checked and the last update for ATi was 7.12 Omega's
