Default ATI CCC software/driver and Vista 64 issues

Hey guys, I'm having and issue with ATI CCC software and driver not playing nice with Vista 64 (imagine that, huh?) and causing it to crash & recover. After a few times, though, it will crash hard (bsod). I've attached a pic of the error. I'm sure some have probably seen this before.

I've been up 'n down all the other forums and so far the best solution to prevent from this to continue to occur is to remove all ATI CCC software as well as the ATI provided driver and use the Vista generic ATI drivers. I tried first removing only CCC, but it still complained and crashed. Then finally i just removed everything. Which amazingly enough, since doing so I have not had one crash.

So my question is, is there something out there that I can use to OC my video card? I tried RivaTuner but something didn't look right after I removed the ATI provided drivers.

Here is what I get when I attempt to use ATI Tool.

So it seems that without the drivers from ATI themselves, I cannot OC the card.

Has anyone else experienced this?

No I can't imagine that, I had 0 issues running Vista x64 with my ATI cards.

Use this version of AT.
You can also use Rivatuner and ATI traytools.
