I still can't do this winflash doesn't want to work. Maybe I can try to run XP and do it with that. I want to do the hardmod as well but I have two 4830s in crossfire and I can't find any info on hardmodding info on an MSI one, which is what the second one is.

Well, finally got around to doing this... getting some unusal voltages. Using the bios that came with the card, I load at 1.5v and idle at 1.3v. This is stock bios, no pencil mod, and stock clocks.
Either something is terribly fubar with my card, or this Fluke 87 multi-meter has finally gone mental. I've attached my bios in a rar if someone wants to take a look at them. On a different note, using just the bios flash, I was able to hit 770/1200 last night and ran Furmark 60 seconds without trouble. Did that same today, and crashed.

Something is wrong with ur voltage checker and or you measuring wrong spot to check the voltages.
That happens to me also, sometimes it likes it, sometimes it doesn't. Back it down a bit for full time running and up for a benchie!

Nick, thank you so much for this guide!
![]() I have followed the instructions precisely, and I believe I have successfully overclocked the processors on my HD 4830 graphics card. Here is my screenie: ![]() However, my MEMORY is still only running at 900MHz. And I would like it to be overclocked as well! How can I make my memory run at 1263MHz like you have, Nick? Also, how did you get your clocks to operate at 865MHz? Did you just type 865 in the boxes for clocks 3 to 9, instead of typing 700 as was detailed in the guide? Is 865 a stable setting for 24/7 operation? I look forward to your reply!

Sory for slow response, card died left thread haha. I had 700 core cause it is what just about ALL 4830's can handle cause if you did more and bricked your SOL. So what you do is go to rivatunenr and adjust little by little to max. When you get your max clocks you want THEN you put it into the bios of the card using RBE tools and that sorts so you don't have to load your clocks again. Memory wise, up it little by little to see what the max is.
What you should do is have memory stock, test core to max. When you find it, put it to stock and remember it. Then oc you mem liek you do with your core. When you find max, take both values, lower it by 10Mhz, put in riva tunner and do a VERY long stress test to see if stable. Then game a few hours and THEN put it into the bios and voula, your card is fast and stable!!! ![]() ![]() 865 is stable for a voltage of 1.45 lol, not what the volts state in the guide.
