Default Should I use RivaTuner or ATI Tray Tools?

I'd like to automatically override D3D settings for specific games but I'd like this to work with Steam, etc.

The Catalyst Control Center allows you to create desktop shortcuts to override basic settings (AA, AF, etc) but it requires you to launch them through the CCC and it doesn't work with Steam, etc. I'd also like to override other settings like triple buffering.

Can I use RivaTuner or ATI Tray Tools to accomplish what I want?

If so, which is better?

Apparantly RivaTuner includes D3D Overrider which sounds like what I want but I'm not sure.

You mean you want rivatuner/ati tray tools to force AA and stuff? Only catalyst control center can do that.

edit : I think ati tray tools can force AA.

I think ATI Tray Tools will be best for what you need.

Thanks for the help.

Does everybody use ATI Tray Tools or do some people just use the CCC?

It seems like the CCC is extremely limited

Yes you'r right m8 ccc is pretty limited and bloated as well
If you look at the tool with the most features ati tray tool properly fits
the bill..hehe sometimes it comfuses me a bit and i need to run rivatuner
only..also cus i really don't need all that stuff.

but ati tray tool is light weight so no reason why u shouldnt
run it 24/7

not all ppl need ati tray tools (nor ccc for that matter )
and it's really hard to guess but i don't think that many use
a.t.t. i would think that most just tweak one time and for-
get about it as most games have the basic fsaa/af/vsync
configs included.
