Default Display Driver Crashing?

So, I just got my 4850 in the mail the other day, and ever since I've had my CFX setup running, my display driver constantly crashes and recovers when I'm playing games.

When I installed my other card, I uninstalled the drivers using ATI's utility, then also booted into safe mode, and cleaned out any excess using Driver Sweeper.

Since then, whenever I play any game, while its loading, the screen will go black for like two minutes or so, and then pick back up. Could it possibly just be the ATI drivers? Back when I had my single 4870 and 9.4, I experienced zero problems. Since going CFX and using the 9.6 drivers, I keep getting these issues.

Could be or faulty card I'd uninstall the drivers again through add/remove go into safemode use driversweeper then disk clean up or ccleaner make sure there's no remainders and then reinstall with nothing running in the background.

Well, I wound up having to reformat my PC anyway, so I obviously had to reinstall drivers. I haven't had a problem since.
