Default Sapphire 4870 1GB bios

I have been reading around about the sapphire 4870 512mb card having a bios update that fixed some crashing and artifacts. During that research I heard that the 4870 1GB non toxic from sapphire also had the crashing issue when playing games but sapphire never released an update for it. Since I happen to own the 1Gb version of the card, I emailed Sapphire with my card info and asked them if they had updated bios for it, and just a few minutes ago they emailed me some updated bios.

Since I personally dont suffer from any crashing due to my video card, I dont think its necessary for my to flash my card, but if there is any one out there who needs the updated bios for their sapphire 4870 1GB card with
PN:288-20E85-130SA and SKU: 11133-04-20R, (this card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102801) then ill gladly make the bios available to you. Who knows maybe the bios update even let you get a little more extra clock out of it too since these cards dont over clock too well.

Thank you. When I over clocked my card even a little bit I'd get VPU crashes. Maybe this will help?

I'm getting this problem alot too, even when I oc the card just a little (I have 2 of them in crossfire with the same psu as the poster above me), if you could send the bios with some instructions, I'd be very, very grateful!

I could also use that bios, I was having ctd's in a few games, flashed the bios (it was having no problems clocked at 850) to the wrong one and now I can't overclock it at all without crashing. Turned out the ctd's were being caused by the particular ati driver I was using

Wouldn't really want to bump, but I'd really appreciate if I could get a hold of this - I suspect I am using some wrong version's BIOS since I'm getting artifacts at stock mem clocks.

I have this too, I have not had much of an issue overclocking it so far though.

I would like the Bios updates too if possible, I have had my 4870 for a while and always update the drivers but recently ive noticed some freezing and VPU recovers on Borderlands and Crysis and the occasion system crash i thought this maybe due to the card clocked to high as i have the core clock 800 and mem at 1000 but after taking it down abit im still having the same problem.
