Default catalyst 9.8 for IGP hd3300 flicker on 32bit

hey guys, just installed 9.8 on my igp for my mobo cuz i removed my 285 and gave it to my cousin; planning to wait a little since i haven't gamed much lately for the new cards to come out, and price drop on 4890

well the screen flickers on 32bit color mode; on 16bit and it's fine
was using a really old version (don't remember which) and uninstalled and used driver sweeper as well

uninstalled and sweeped again, and installed driver only, to no avail
any suggestions?
again, no flicker on 16bit mode

tia,
tony

p.s. i've already removed all the nvidia drivers before updating the ati driver, which was working fine

rolled back to 9.7, still the same

reinstalled by disc for version 8.5 i believe, and is working fine...
let's try an install over current version instead of full removal

Why don't you just try an older version of catalyst. 8.5 is so old.

anyone else that have this problem, or their IGP constantly crashing, then you might have had the same problem as i had. i had more IGP problems last night, then tried to update the driver again, and it still had the same problems (even worse than OP). it was because i OCed my ram, so it caused instability somehow. i set it to stock clock of 200mhz and it works fine now. now my comp feels all slow cuz i'm running 200x16 @ 1.35v, without any OCing of the NB
guess i need a GPU fast if i want to go back to OCing

p.s. on the latest drivers and they work fine now
