Default x1300 radeon and windows 7

Hey all,

Recently installed windows 7 on an older machine (going to be making it an htpc). I've downloaded the windows 7 drivers for the above cards from the ATI website. They install correctly, and then when I restart I get a prompt stating that there is no driver installed and/or it is not functioning properly...and perhaps adversly so - I cannot get into CCC.

Any ideas?

Thanks much.

I don't think Windows 7 works with that card yet.

I have AMD Turion 64 X2 TL52 with X1300, it is working fine under Windows 7 RC. In fact, the driver was found from Windows Update.

It even works with CentOS 5.3, the Red Hat Enterprise Linux clone!

Yea, I'd try windows update, or else some older version for vista, as support for anything beneath 2xxx series was cut out after 9.2 I believe..

If all else fails revert back to the generic windows driver, and see how that works out for it.
