It is recommended that no one get CCC 9.9 there are way too many bugs popping up left and right for the 4x00 series cards. ATI even removed the download from their main website and the highest one they have now is 9.8.

My 9.8's didn't seem to uninstall properly and I got blue screens upon installing 9.9. No problems at all with the 9.9 drivers though, so don't mind that.

It could be targeting specific manufacturer's cards or something like that. I know using my 4870s from XFX was totally horrible. First I had 6 second CCC flicker issue when CCC is open. Then I started to get infinite loop of driver crash and recover starting the third day and today...well, it started BSODing lol. My cards worked flawlessly when I used 9.8 and lower. Threads are popping up left and right regarding issues of CCC 9.9 on ATI's forum too.

I just checked, and the 9.9's are gone and the 9.8's are back. but the AVIVO download is still a 9.9...hehe maybe they forgot to remove that and change it back to the 9.8 AVIVO.....
