ATi Drivers Kill My Windows 7

ATi Drivers Kill My Windows 7
Everytime I try to install 9.9 on my computer, windows 7 refuses to boot. It gets up to STARTING WINDOWS and freezes. I have to go into safe mode, remove the drivers via driver sweeper, and reboot back into normal windows.
Its pissing me off. I'll try 9.8 but I'm wondering if anyone else had similar

tried 9.8 - also wont let me boot. What the hell?

No problems at all... Have you tried the 9,9's off Visiontek's site?

I haven't tried 9.9 because I have heard of issues w/windows 7. Are you using RTM? I am using the 9.8 without problem. Are you using a driver cleaning program? Is this a new issue since trying to upgrade to 9.9?
Also, in terms of drivers while I have only had a couple problems with Nvidia's graphics drivers I have had many problems with their chipset/ethernet drivers. I have very few issues with ATI drivers. I have nearly NO issues with AMD's chipset drivers.

No matter which slot I put this card in, I can't install these drivers. I'm praying that a new mobo fixes it but for some reason I'm doubtful.
