Default ATI Overdrive

Is it okay if I just press escape right away after the screen with RGB colors w/ AMD show up? I keep on doing that an I keep on getting a passed test custom clocks.

Also, ATI Overdrive says it passed but when I tried running Furmark Stability test, it gives me artifacts (random black spots popping up on screen). So Overdrive isn't reliable on stability testing right?

AOD tests are a joke. Furmark is good but can max out your gpu more than any game. I only run it for 5 mins and if no artifiacts then consider that solid.

3 runs of crysis is also a good bench for gpu stability.

I went back to my previous OC settings of 885 for the core but stayed with the new 1125 mem OC. So far its good.. Though I cant reach more than 900 without artifacts. I guess I have a bad 4890..

Automated tests just check for data consistency (I believe). It won't compare to actually checking if tests run properly, or at all.

I have yet to see anyone say good things about Ati OD tool. I ran the autotune tool yesterday and left it for an hour or two. It turned my core up from 750 to 840 and the mem clock from 800 to 900 and its stable at 34C idle and 57C load. I went and played Mass Effect for about 5 hours after that and didn't have any noticeable problems.
