Talking Help Buying AGP GPU!

I'm aiming to buy some Performance Computer but as for now i can only handle some upgrades to my old system. I just want to know which AGP GPU would do great for me. I don't care for High Res. Gaming or too much AA, etc.

I'm thinking of some cards like HD 4670 1GB 128Bit IceQ... also i'm looking for the 512MB one. Also i read of the HD 2900XT and the HD 3850. The thing is that i can't choose. I think i'll buy at circuitcity.com. Any reply/help would be apreciated. I think i'm wasting 100~150US$ as for now. Thanks.

I'd go for the 4670 or 4650 if I were you. Both are decent cards for an aging AGP system.

The HD3850 is roughly equal to the HD4670, but the HD4670 uses less power. Which PSU do you have (brand/type)?

Honestly I would expect performance to be similar on all those cards, considering the P4 cpu and the agp interface. I dont see a 2900XT or 3850 at circuitcity right now, but if the prices are similar then you might as well get the 4670.
