I just finally decided to upgrade from 9.7 to 9.9, and now, the installer is crashing on me.
The files are extracted, no problem, from the download over @ ATI, however, the installer is on crack or something. Anybody got ideas?

Re-download, I uninstall everything even the installer when I upgrade drivers. Did you keep the old ATI installer installed?

I got the whole deal.
Drivers and CCC suite. It was like close to 70MB. EDIT: Oh, I see what you mean now... No, I just install over the previous drivers, never had a problem before. ATI is gonna get a NASTY email from me. This is the FIRST time I'm having trouble installing over.

Don't bother.
__________________Uninstall 9.9, do a driver sweep, clean up the registry and reinstall 9.9. If it fails again, repeat, except go back to 9.7. I'm running version 8.10 because, any higher, and crossfire doesn't work. There's no need for you to update anyway.

I'm actually getting 9.8 AFTER it got deleted from ATI's site, for whatever reason, and gonna try to upgrade one by one.
EDIT: WOW This is total bullcrap. 9.8's are crashing too. They crash right after I select "INSTALL" from the list.

If I do have to go back to 9.7, I have to grab everything 8.10 and up as ATI loves to break their installers as all us ATI users know.

![]() Anyway, when you download the driver file, choose a directory that is different to the following - Quote:
This can often help fix install issues, also did you try re-downloading the drivers

Corrupted download?
And I second coffee's different directory idea. (Not that it really needs seconding...)
