I'm having issues with Doom 3 flickering when in game with my 5870, I'm not sure if this is an issue with opengl and the drivers, I haven't tried 9.11 and am still working with the official 9.9, anyone have similar problems or any advice? I'm running vista 64 if thats relevant. Thanks!

Ok, I answered my own question. Spore runs on version 9.8.

I've heard of something similar with Arkham Asylum, and the guy had to set all his gamma settings back to 0 and then it stopped (The gamma settings in game and in the CCC).

This 9.11 beta driver is the only one that works for me in W7 64-bit, btw. Thanks again.

For me it is, considering 9.10 doesn't work or install properly.

9.10 won't use my crossfire x so this is my only option, 9.11 beta's.

just got my Saphire HD 5870, its cost me $ 560 equivalent of indian currency ...thats like $150 premium for getting it in here..

now i use the catalyst drivers provided by Saphire and realize there is a 9.10 driver on amd's page....i download and install the drivers and catalyst control center...

everything starts working fine...but catalyst control wont ever start...seems to crash as soon as to click ot start it...

any ideas if i shld move to the beta 9.11 drivers to correct this...?

Try it. We cannot say for sure unless you give it a shot.
