ok guy's need some help.....i got a winfast 760gxk8mc mobo which supports 8x agp have set bios to 8x agp and am running a raedon 9200 (256mg)
but its defaulting to 4x agp bus speed tried using smatgart but it only shows upto 4x agp any ideas

Well first off you need to make sure that your g-card will do AGP 8X if so then it could be either one of 2 things Either you need to reinstall your Ati drivers and to do this get a program called '' Driver cleaner'' and use it to wipe your system clean of the previous ati driver but uninstall the driver before using this cleaner to ger rid of left overs. If its not this then go into your system bios and make sure that your speed is default at AGP 8X.

I thought 9200's were agp4x?

Nope the 9200 is 8x, I have one it was a decent card back in the day.
you can enable the 8x in the bios under the chipset options

i remember my 9200 i ocd the heck of my card it was reall yeasy to oc i never had the prob of having it only run at 4x agp tho

To set the AGP to 8x Look under and option in your bios called ''Chipset options'' you will find options in there to change properties for your Video card.
