Conclusion: This card IS NOT MEANT for overclocking!
lol i beg 2 differ. all 9600 r good OCer's. the problem is when u get over 500Mhz core u really need more Voltage 2 c any more performace.
like i increases my V-core by just 0.1V and now my 9600 pro is running at 669Mhz Core and 728Mhz DDR Memory. and my average before Voltmod @550Mhz/300 = 64 (same as u). after Voltmod @550Mhz/300 = 98!!! and with my current clocks 123fps average. not bad 4 an old 9600. Volt modding it one thing that helps these cards out heaps. just make sure u have some nice cooling on it though.

I just had ATI Tool installed, and tried to run my 9800AIW card with auto-oc.. granted it is an AIW, and it was on auto, I still went from 378 / 340 to 392 / 355 at optimal divider.

Yes, my memory went down.

Oh, and I have a VGA Silencer installed (Arctic Cooling) and some TT copper ram sinks (which became hot enough to burn my hand).

Single eVGA 7600GT @ 1600/610. I disabled SLi when I'm not in games to lower the fan noise

...and MastershakeJB .. I'd love to see proof of that 722 FPS average, please...

Anyway, my score is attached!
