Default ATI 9700 Pro.. HELP!!

I just got my 9700 Pro 2 days ago, and it had been running great but so far my screen has frozen several times while running Madden 2005 and Half-Life 2. Fastwrites are off, I'm not overclocking at all, I am using the latest Omega drivers; can anyone help me?

Try using a different driver, either the ATi catalyst or DNA drivers. That's always the first place to start when you have a problem.

I tried the official ATi drivers and had the same problem, I just set my AGP to 4x so time will tell if that is the right solution.

Didn't work, still getting the weird noise and the commentary cutting out.

Unfortunately, that could be exactly it. It was the first AGP 8X card to be released afterall... so it may just be fighting your chipset.
