Between these two cards which would you go with? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814131030
__________________The Diamond has a single slot cooler which covers everything but I can't find any reviews and the pcb layout is different than the refference one. I already have a 2 slot cooler for my X800GTO so that isn't really an issue but the cooler doesn't extend to the voltage control things(???) in the back (can't remember the technical name for those things). I am going to wait a month or so to get one so there is no rush to decide. Thanx for any input and Happy Holidays to all!! Hope all your tech wishes come true!

I have the HIS 256Mb, and it is the best one..but if you must go 512Mb, then get the HIS. It has the best cooling solution: copper heatsinks, and they are seperate to prevent heat from bleeding over to other components. Make sure you get the IceQ3, becuase the other cooler is the same crappy one as the other vendors. I have mine OCed to 651/745 right now, and I am going to work on the memory OC and adjusting timings soon.

I would say go for the Powercolor version for the better cooler. As you know from expierence a nicer cooler can take you a long way. I have the 256mb version from Powercolor.

It was suppose to link a comparison of the Diamond x1950 pro 512mb and Powercolor version http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...SubCategory=48 , the HIS wasn't even there when I was looking. Thanks for the reply, but has anyone used the Diamond version, was wondering how effective there cooler is and any bugs related to the different PCB layout Diamond is using. The HIS version looks promising but I cant find any reviews for anything other than Sapphire and BBA ones. Since I am waiting a bit I was hoping for some more user and tech site reviews before I buy.

i say go with the powercolor, price is better if u dont mind mail in rebates and ive heard good things bout powercolor. so if u stuck between the three (powercolor, His, and diamondx) go with the cheapest

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2E16814161048R http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2E16814103025R I gotta do this as the price is just too close and the performance is a huge difference. When I bought a x1950Pro it was $209 shipped the price is getting a bit high I would say. pink

Is the x1950xt dongless in crossfire? I thought that was exclusive to the pro and GT ones, not that I have a CF board now but maybe later. Also since this is going in a PC with a single slot solution frame buffer is rather important, but not all deciding. Lastly i am hoping price will drop a bit in a month or so, hopefully ATI will have released their DX10 cards so that it will affect prices for the better (hopefully). If not I will keep in mind your suggestions as I had not considered the other selections before because of cost when I looked a few weeks back, I had not realized they had dropped so. This will definately give me more to think about thanks.
