256 should be fine. I've experimented with all sizes with no difference.

Set it to 128, 64, or 32. The AGP aperture uses system ram incase the onboard video ram of your video card becomes full and is not enough. With GDDR3, its fast enough to handle a games textures. Best thing to do is set it and run a benchmark and see which setting best benefits your system.

I second that; it does not influence performance in any way, but for stability it's good to have maximum half the ram.

AGP Aperature is for onboard graphics, its a useless setting if you have a video card.

Not true, AGP aperture is also used by AGP cards.

As for the question, you can read about AGP aperture here:
http://www.techpowerup.com/articles/...ing/vidcard/43

and here:
http://www.tweak3d.net/joomla/featur...-size-examined

So as you can read, 256 should be fine.

Use the absolute smallest aperature size, you have a dedicated video card and therefore do not need it.
