I just RMAd my HIS x1950Pro256 due to the fan problem, and spent the extra on the HIS x1950XT256. With the release of the Asus 7.3 drivers I've had no problems whatsoever with it, and I'm using Vista also.

Only thing is, when you pay a bit more for the XT, then a bit more for the HIS version, a little bit more and I could have got a low end g80 card. Just make ur mind up how much you can budget for. Either pay for the XT, pay for the HIS XT, or pay for the 8800 if you can afford that.

PS, my XT idles at 46c, loads at 67c, and thats with the stock HIS IceQ3, rather than having to screw around with it. Also, if you did decide to go for the HIS x1950Pro, make sure you get a version 2 model, the fan problems ahve only been on the version 1 as far as I am aware :d

Yes or wait another month for AGP DX10 cards.
Remember this is all a matter of opinion, in my case I favor the XT because of the known issues with the HIS GFX. But who's to say the XT will not have issues.
Do you have a Dell? Those PSU specs look very familiar.

Yes, I have a Dell. (I was on here about getting a Sapphire, then if HiS was a good choice(ver. 2 not ver.1) now this. Theres going to be a DX10 AGP card? I thought AGP was dying out? If so, what card will it be?

Not sure what they will actually be but ATI and nVidia partners have confirmed it.
Search the forums there are a few post regarding the issue.
