*EDIT* I went ahead and did a benchmark research and you can tell me if this sounds right to you.

all the stats were measured here under the list of OVERALL FPS:

I want to finish my search here but any smart person would say let the information keep comming =/.
What I have gathered on my 200-250 dollar budget... I think seeing these stats I would want to go with the x1950pro...now saying that how many months you think that will last me? also please count in that I have had this computer below for 5 years now and the only upgrade I have done to it that worked is add the x800XL to it..=) so keep that in mind when assesing my question please thanks a lot!! yall are tremendous helpers!!! and I have been taking in account yall telling me which card is better and I do believe I have learned a whole bunch already...we will see when I sign the reciept.

NO! You want the X1950XT, not the X1950PRO. They are two comepletly different cards with very different amounts of power.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102082

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2E16814102067R

The first one is the retail card, with 256mb of RAM. The second is the same card but with 512mb of RAM. If you game at 1600 x 1200 or higher, buy the 512mb verison of the card.

The final one is the open box verison of the first card. It is the same as the retail model except that you will not get the extras that are included with the retail model.

Buy the 256mb retail model if you want the extras (not worth the $30 difference imo)
Buy the 512mb retail model if you game at 1600 x 1200 or higher.
Buy the 256mb Open box model.

You can buy stuff here as long as you are a member. To sell you need 35 reps.

Also to PM, I believe there still is a 20 day/10 post/10 rep requirement.

After discussing the video cards, I looked at your rig, and I doubt it has a PCI-e slot, so you would be better off with a new rig. This forum is great for builds, most of us would be happy to check over a build and offer suggestions.

Finally, if you have the chance, you should buy some parts off of the forum, they are usually much cheaper than retail and are normally in near perfect condition.

Oh, no, theres no post limit. To PM (I think, it may have changed) you have to have a total of 20 days since sign up, 10 total posts and 10 rep points.

My ratio is bad, I don't help out enough >.< A good ratio is 10 posts to 1 rep. Posts in the off topic section don't count, although you can still be repped there.

New members normally have a couple hundred posts to a few reps, once they start learning enough that they are able to help more members, they get more rep per post. Look at the top30 members here, and you'll notice most have a 10:1 or better ratio. Mod's can't be repped, so their ratio's slowly go down.

Remember that reputation is just there to show how helpful or knowledgeable a member has been.
