the only downside the AGCT, is that you cant run a stability test for the settings, you just have to run a demanding app and see if it jams or not.

Ok, maybe I've been doing it wrong but for me (and this is true on my 1900xtx, 1950xtx and my 2900xt), ccc runs the card harder and harder until it locks up, then sometimes bsod, restart and the clock is set to a couple of mhz before the bsod. Go back into overdrive and select preserve at startup and you're set.
Note, the lockup happens twice usually, once when oc'ing the gpu and once when oc'ing the memory. I haven't tried anything but ccc on my 2900 but on the other two cards, I wasn't able to push them any further with atitool. Keep in mind that this is "my" experience and I am no expert so human error may be a factor in my limited use of atitool but I've always had excellent oc's with ccc. ![]() EDIT: Oh, and I always leave pci-e frequency at 101. I've run 3dmark and on every setting between 101 and 118 with absolutely NO gain.

In Vista, it sets my gpu to 858mhz and memory stays at 1000. In XP, Gpu at 853 and memory at 1145mhz. This is one the same rig (dual-boot).
