Turion X2 and Nvidia 7600 Go. I'll still be around to maintain the thread and if you have anything special of interest (since I probably won't be looking for 2900 news as much) PM me and I'll post it on the first page.

Loved the 2900, still do. But I got the urge to go mobile.
Hmmp, not talking to you anymore.

Modki who?

Anyone that has had to RAM the 2900 ever get it back yet? They have had mine for a month now. The kicker is that the RMA department only takes messages...

Im really dissapointed in the whole RMA process. This is the only card I have had to RMA and the experience is very lacking.

EDIT:

The RMA card came today!!! So excited to get it in a running. What temps can I expect to get with two space heaters? My one card idles at about 60C. Ill post some pics of them also tonight.

Anyone know if the 2900 Pro would be able to CF with an XT? o.O

That would be pretty cool if you could seeing as they're actually the same card. The Pro would probably have to be flashed to an XT, but could probably handle it.

and thanks modki for adding me to the list

Anyone have trouble running ATI Tool on Vista 32bit. I keep trying to install it but everytime it wont run. Gives me the ATI Tool has stopped responding error. I have it set to run as admin and tried to run it in XP SP2 mode also.

Also it gives me a nice driver warning from windows while installing....

How? Whenever I go over 1005 (2010) I crash. In xp, 1153mhz was no sweat. But I can run the gpu at 853 in either os.

EDIT: Real glad to hear you'll be up and running soon.
Yep Vista 64. I didn't OC the memory at all at first, but I figured what the hell. I never had any issues in Vista 64. Maybe a driver reload is in order? You're running x64 right?

This has been the case with at least three driver installs. I really thought that everyone was having issues oc'ing the vram on these things in Vista.

If I couldn't oc it in xp then I would really be worried right now but it seems like a soft conflict. Any ideas?

I dunno, but you have me scared....maybe I had a magical card! LOL, I don't know man. I didn't use anything but Overdrive to OC the card, and I used a 6 to 9 pin adapter (obviously)
There isn't really much else to it TBH...hope my Diamond runs as well as the HIS.

Wow, dude where do you sell that thing? EBay? I wanted to sell mine too if 55nm GPU was a huge success. I still like R600 but the power consumption is terrible. I wish I have a 55nm R600 now.

That might explain why he did not buy my HD2900XT...

I think I will keep mine...they are fabulous. I think I will sell a laptop and buy a third one.

I am planning on getting a 2900XT soon. Is one brand better than another or are they all about the same?
