The HD 2900XT Info Thread

I wish I had that much space between my PCIe x16 ports. The lack of space is why I don't dare run a pair of 2900s right now. There would be about .125" between the cards on my board. The reference cooler is really thick.

I have my eye set on CoolIT's upcoming water-cooling kit for the 2900XT:

Looks like it'll cut down on the thickness of a 2900XT to near single-slot.

Edit: OEM XP install is kicking my ass right now.

You have to install XP before Vista. If you don't, you need to unplug the drive Vista is on.

Yeah haha when I put my OP650 and the 2900 in my case and picked it up I was like "Woah, you need to go on a diet!" It's hard as hell to carry her up and down the flights of stairs on the weekend.

Sweeeet, the screws from the original cooler won't mount the waterblock like the other card did.

EDIT: K, shutting down to install. Gotta bleed the loop and all that crap. Hopefully I'll be back up in an hour or so.

Awesome--I have been eyeballing the EK coolers for the 2900...very sexy RED
