Why, what's wrong with the GTS firmware?

lol, there is NO WAY IN HELL i'd flash the firmware with anything but an official AMD/ATI tool. I have no intention of turning $800 of poor investments into bricks, =)

BTW 3dmark01 is where I'm having the most trouble and losing the most points. I should be able to get another 15-20k points but it keeps crashing... stupid old technology.

Have you guys tried lowering your settings in CCC? I would really like to see if that affects your scores at all. Wish you all luck in trying to OC your X-fire rigs!

Edit: Alright I got some results:

-------------CCC-High Settings-------CCC- Low Settings
3dmarks----------4589----------------------5096
SM2.0------------1586---------------------1937
SM3.0------------1887---------------------1947
CPU--------------2840---------------------2838

So it does affect scores, It raised my score by 500 points. Thats what cd needs to get to 18k.

Well yesterday I confirmed that the UVD is working when I played a blu-ray disc last night. I was only getting %5-10 CPU usage on both cores (or less) in task manager, and I was downloading with Azureus too.

Right guys.... I never thought it would come to this....

I will be wanting to complete my build with a powerhouse GFX card in a couple of months....

As nvidia are planning on releasing their new cards then i am stuck with this decision.

Wait until Nvidia relase the new cards so that the 8800GTX / ULTRA drops in price and get one of them.

OR

Get a 1gb 2900XT

My board is SLI which would mean if i went nvidia i have upgrade possibility.
