According to what I read at Phoronix forum they should be here any time, but the author of the piece wanted to cover himself. He said that the rumor going around is that ATi is completely rewriting their Linux drivers from scratch.

So as of right now the HD 2900 XT is faster in Vista rather than XP?

That's what the reviews for the 2900 1GB are saying, and they are also saying that Crossfire is much more effective in Vista.

I may be getting one of these soon, and I'm debating between the 512 and the 1Gb......I mean the latter is only $80 more, and I run 1920*1080.....what do you guys think? I can't really find any reviews on the 1Gb.

I don't really think either one would be a mistake. In a few days I should start to have some numbers to throw out to everyone. Of course I'm not sure if my results with the card will be applicable to everyone because my rig is out of date.
